It is my fault for not heading out to Seattle when my VW was not finished as Jake said it would be at 10:00 ish. Missing the ferry and my appointment. The frustrating thing for me was being lead to the understanding that it would be ready then almost ready they are test driving it to finely being on my way. The drive was wonderful knowing that my VW was humming down the road frustrated for missing an appointment that could have helped me recoup some if not all that I had just paid out. Oh well today will be better.

My 82 VW Vanagan has some difficult problems that were professionally handled. I am very well informed on the condition of my engine. They were merciful on how much I was charged and I know the next step to take if my engine gives me more problems without spending a fortune for nothing. I highly recomend this business.

I wished we could clone Jake and his crew and put a shop in West Seattle. Very, very honest and atually, beyond words. When I finished college this was the type of shop I wanted to open. Women wouldn't feel intimidated or ridiculed for asking a question and the shop staff explains repairs in common terms. If fact, we are so please with this shop, we are bringing our cars back for all other service, even if it is a day trip.

After my jeep was towed into Bruce's they were able to get it back to me by a very reasonable amount of time at the end of the day. Had all the fluids replaced (surprising how expensive that can be!) and was so glad I hadn't damaged jeep driving it up Morris Creek hill with ailing water pump. It did explode. Very dramatic. Bruce running after me with print out of bill as printer was unco-operative. But all was well and excellent help.

I had a squeaky rear rotary brake which squealed every time I backed up. People were staring though it was good warning signal to run for their lives. Thought it was just brake pads as another outfit had offered to just replace those, but Bruce's explained that the problem still might remain and not a good idea as work to get off would be more or less the same. So both rear rotaries on my 1983 Mercedes had to be replace. I was in and out in one hour as they put two mechanics on it.s As before Jake knows his stuff and seems an able dealer as they say in Ireland... Now if I can just get them to return my call about my jeep which is leaking a white viscus fluid. My brother says it is not from break or transmission so I am limping around. He says water pump. Now I see why so many people with busted cars just appear there. Phone is not really a priority...This is only second time this has happened to me though. Maybe others have better experience re phone. But I'd give them top marks on this last round. You bet! Best help I have had in Pt. Angeles in years.

I've been going to Bruce's for several years now, and they always find a way to work me into their schedule. I like getting my oil changed at Bruce's because they check over my vehicle and trouble shoot for anything that needs fixing, so my vehicle is safe. Bruce has a good sense about what is necessary and what is NOT needed, and never tries to sell me anything I don't need.

I took my car in last week... the 14th of June for an oil change. Planned on picking it up between 4:30 and 5 pm. My plans got completely changed and I called them and told them I needed my car no later than 2 pm. I got there about 1:40 and it was ready to go!! I REALLY appreciate the service I receive when I go to Bruce's. They are very fair and always explain everything in plain english so I know what is going on with my car. Thank you Bruce's!!

Over the years I've tried a few of the auto repair shops on the Peninsula with poor results and shocking prices. I had become very discouraged when faced with mechanical problems. I was referred to Bruces from two different sources and had an amazing experience in both customer care and most importantly engine repairs. An annoying tick that survived a previous, and extremely expensive tune up, has now been cured during the course of a basic tune up at Bruce's. Their approach to diagnosis was exactly as they said it would be as was their final bill. No surprises. The old truck is running better than it has since I bought it and I am even saving on gas expenses now. Thanks to Jake and crew. You guys truly are the Best !

I have had the best experience with Bruce's Auto. They are always very accomadating, quick, and generally conerned with the quality of your car and your pocketbook. They have gone out of their way to make sure I take care of the things on my car that are necessary and have searched to find the affordable solution. Something that most other places do not do. I took my car in yesterday and asked about new tires, and today they called with several solutions that I could choose, and set up an appointment for me at another establishment and made sure that I was taken care of. Great service, and excellent results.

New to town, I had no idea who to trust when my car was in need of a major repair (catalytic converter). After researching my options on the internet, I began to make phone calls to the various mechanics. Bruce's provided the time, the knowledge, a few options, and seemed genuinely interested in taking the least expensive approach to diagnose the issue. In the next 3 days, with my car in their hands, their communication was frequent and their willingness to work within my budget seemed a standard level of service for them, offered to every customer. Everyone was very polite and made me seem a priority. They went above and beyond to explain the issues and the options I had to fix them in layman's terms - a very important skill in my book. I highly recommend Bruce's and know with absolute certainty that I will rely on their services as long as I am living on the peninsula.

I've been going to Bruce for about 6 years, and both Bruce and his staff are friendly and professional. He takes the time to explain what needs to be done with my truck, and as a woman, I have always felt respected an never ripped off. He is also really accommodating about those last minute oil changes, and if you need to drop off your vehicle after hours, there is a dropbox for keys. And.... he has WiFi!

Bruce has maintained and repaired my vehicles for over a decade now, and he has consistently managed to assess the problems with my vehicles and save me unnecessary repair work, parts, and cost. Recently, he brought to my attention that my 4 wheel drive Subaru was capable of attaining better gas mileage with the installation of a simple fuse which enabled it to operate with front drive only. It also prevents future differential/drive train wear and tear. His service is above and beyond what I have experienced from any other automotive shop. Pass it on!
